November has been rocking for wind and waves but for various annyoing reasons I've not sailed since Cornwall 2 weeks ago. Today though I managed to clear my schedule to sail Pagham hoping to score a good riding session. The wind veered to SW then WSW earlier than expected i.e. proper cross-off but it worked! Waves were abundant in the boom-halfmast size range, peaking and peeling beautifully and soooo nice to ride in the cross-off direction. It was hard work out there with a gusty up and down wind that was often too strong on the wave face but nevertheless I scored a handful of cracking rides with full power bottom/top combos. So good (and bizarre for shingleshire!) to be hacking at speed down the line with no contorted cross-on clew-first shenanigans required.

The day was soured somewhat whilst I was packing up by an idiot in the carpark who decided to drive over the nose of my Fanatic waveboard. Grrrr. :(
